Over the past few years, Bookkisa from the Dambi Uddo Drying Station has become a firm favourite in our seasonal offering. More recently, we've been working closely with Osito Coffee on our Ethiopian selection, and after a challenging harvest season in Guji, we're especially excited to share this tasty lot. A dryer year than usual, the local farmers living in the Bookkisa sub-kebele, Shakiso woreda, did not get ripening rains. This meant a lot of the cherry dried prematurely on the trees, influencing both the quality and high cherry prices, which were double compared to last year. Nevertheless, the skill and expertise of the growers and owners of the Dambi Uddo drying station, Ture and Assefa Waji shine! Jam-packed with delight, Bookkisa strikes again!
