The idea behind our Sweetshop blend is simple: combine sweet and characterful coffee to create a fun, wildly complex and fruit-driven espresso.

This isn’t about balance and it certainly isn’t about tradition. This is about cramming as much fruit and fun into the cup as possible. We want an espresso that doesn’t taste like anything else.

Capturing all the fruity candy colours under the rainbow, this iteration of Sweetshop showcases Kinini, a natural process lot from Rwanda and El Tundo from Ecuador.

A punchy juice bomb of a coffee, the Kinini natural showcases the excellence of the Kinini washing station in Tumba has become known for. Founded as part of a regeneration project initiated by Jacqui Turner and Malcolm Clear in 2012, alongside planting thousands of trees. The project sprawled into building new roads for the farmers to deliver their days picking to maintain the quality of their harvests. The station now also has a roasting facility and a worm bed for turning coffee cherry into organic fertiliser, with plans for the space to offer visitor accommodation.

With its berry buzz and fudgy sweetness, Kinini has hit the jackpot with El Tundo for this Sweetshop blend. Produced in the region of Sozoranga, a small cantón located in the southern province of Loja. Named after the local and impressive nature reserve, the area boasts remarkable biodiversity and is known for its conservation efforts. Practising agroforestry systems on their farms, the contributing farmers still have some of the original Typica varieties their parents and grandparents introduced
