The latest addition to our filter lineup, Piedras Amarillas from Honduras is here! The first Honduran filter of the season, this washed coffee was developed in the region of Santa Bárbara by producer Jose Angel Lopez Muñoz. Working hard on other farms as a labourer and planting vegetables on rented land, Muñoz saved his money to invest in small plots and in 2013, started to plant his own coffee. Referring to his farms by the area in which they’re located, this lot was purchased in Piedras Amarillas, lending its name to this tasty coffee. While profiles from the country can range from bright and fruity to displaying deep, chocolate tones, this filter demonstrates the depth of Honduran produce with its sweetly balanced flavours. Bringing a gentle acidity with red apple and a moreish, caramelised touch of nougat, it’ll infuse happiness into your brew, whether in the form of your wake up cup or your afternoon pick me up.
